5-Minute Meditation for Hemorrhoids and Pelvic Tension

64

If you’re dealing with hemorrhoids (piles) or pelvic tension, this meditation with affirmations is perfect for you.

Begin in Thunderbolt Pose (Vajrasana), with a folded blanket under your knees for padding. Gently spread your sitting bones apart and sit on your heels, feet and thighs together, hips are internally rotated. You should feel your pelvic floor lengthen and release. Chest and shoulders are broad, spine lengthened, neck long and chin parallel to mat. Hands are on your hips with your elbows out to the sides, or you can have your hands resting on your thighs.

If this is too much for your knees, or if you feel strain in your back, then place a cushion on top of your heels and sit on it for support.

Close your eyes and breathe naturally.

Bring your breath out of your neck and shoulders and breathe down into your lower ribs and your belly. Expand your inhales down into your pelvic floor, then exhale all the air out…. slowly, slowly, slowly.

Breathe in deeply, breathe out slowly.

As you continue to breathe slowly and easily, down into your pelvic bowl, listen to my words and feel them resonate in your own body, particularly in your root — your pelvic floor.

I release all that is not love.
I release all pressure and strain.
I release all gripping and grasping.
I release all fear and uncertainty.
I release all pain and tension.
I release everything that is not love.
My pelvic floor is supple and vital.
My muscles are relaxed and resilient.
I release all pressure and strain.
I release all that is not love.
