Video Transcript: So ummm….Reiki (misspells and tries again)….Reiki. Some of you may be wondering where I got my Reiki training from. Especially if you are interested in becoming a Certified Reiki Master practitioner. My Reiki teacher’s name is ashley koe—Ashley Koe. Amazing teacher-I definitely recommend her. That Reiki class was about 10 weeks…I remember about 10 weeks. I learned so much. A lot of practicing, inner exploration/assessment, plus I got properly attuned to Reiki. And she (ashley koe) honors the lineage of Reiki which was channeled by Mikao Usui from Japan, so I really appreciated that. She is not just someone who randomly decided that they can teach Reiki (laughs). She is truly properly trained and attuned to be a Certified Reiki Master Teacher according to Reiki’s lineage. If you want to find a different Reiki Teacher, then of course you can do that, just be sure they are trained and recognize Miako Usui.
The other training I received was as a Death Doula or End of Life Practitioner. I decided to go with Vermont University’s (VT) program for my Death Doula training. It was a challenging experience because obviously it deals with the dying process, people who are transitioning to the next life. But it was still a beautiful experience. For more hands on experience, I definitely recommend also volunteering at a Hospice before you become a Death Doula/End of Life Practitioner. If you want more information about my Reiki teacher or where I got my Death Doula training then let me know, I can provide you with that information.
