After a long day at work filled with overloads of stress, it’s time to unwind and recuperate. Listening to Nature’s ambience will lead you to a clearer state of mind. Meditation is a mind-body practice in which your attention is focused on being mindful of the present, your breath and your mind to promote awareness, cultivate wellbeing and reduce stress and anxiety.
A couple of tips for anyone new to meditation. There is no right or wrong way to meditate, it’s all based on personal preferences. Find a nice quiet place somewhere you feel safe. Then get into the most comfortable position, sitting or laying down.
Closing your eyes will help you focus better. Take a deep breath and focus on the breath that’s going in and out of you body. Try to clear away any thoughts that appear in your mind, you can always come back to it later. The sound waves and visuals are there to help you focus. It also enhances the experience.
Meditating 10-15 minutes daily will be a good practice for starters. If you fall a sleep, that’s okay too because sleep is another form of mediation.
