Energy healing, reiki, and many alternative medicine practices are complete pseudoscience.

Well… Actually, they aren’t. Not in the right context.
.
The thing that’s BS about these systems is the explanation. The actual practices sometimes are just fine, but the reason they work is not the reason the practitioner would have you believe.
.
That said, I’m not going to go into an explanation of the real mechanisms behind energy healing, because frankly the more you believe in the magic of it, the more it will work for you and I don’t want to ruin that.

Long story short, I think spending an hour in a relaxed and healing environment, with someone who listens to you and cares about your health and wellbeing, and basically taking a nap is amazing for your health.
