How Plants Fuel Creativity | tending to my plants w/ Reiki & new pots (NEED TIPS: MY ALOE MIGHT DIE)

36

Hello and welcome 🙂

Today we’re getting down and dirty—because my plants need a compost top-up and a new look. While I dote on my plants, I’ll be sharing musings on how our creativity flourishes when we’re connected with nature. I also talk about giving reiki to plants while giving a quick demo. Then I unpack some lessons picked up along the way (because you know I’ve always got my eye out for a lesson…).

PS: My aloe looked fine when I finished filming, but it’s a few days later now, and I’m not so sure anymore. I did move her into a less sunny spot, so will move her back to where she was… but it seems too soon for her to be already showing signs of distress due to lack of sun. I am worried that something has indeed gone awry. Help?

VIEWER BEWARE: The end has some unfortunate shuttering noises thanks to my lens deciding to refocus every four seconds. I’ve cut this out where possible, but a lot of it is during my spiel, so had to remain in the final video. I know it’s all a part of the learning curve of starting a YouTube channel. Nevertheless, I hope it’s not too disruptive

Ideas for connecting to nature…
Staring at flowerbeds, trees and/or the sky outside your window. Following the cycles of the moon, maybe even starting a New Moon and Full Moon ritual. Visiting a nearby park and lying down under a tree, just to stare up through the leaves. Placing your palms on tree trunks and, if you’re feeling extra loving, giving it a big ol’ hug. Taking some water colours or a journal and sitting in nature while you paint or write without attachment to the outcome, surrounded by sensations of the wild.
