Janelle Silva and I discuss how we’ve dealt with our sons receiving diagnoses for cancer, Asperger’s and Autism.
At 1.5 years old, Janelle’s son Cru Silva was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma. Janelle shares how they’ve used Western medicine, energy medicine, and CBD (Cannabidiol) oil to help heal Cru’s body. She also talks about how she dealt with the stress and anxiety after hearing Cru’s diagnosis.
We also bond over how we accept, embrace, love and support our sons Blaze and Reef after being given the diagnoses of Asperger’s and Autism. We view them as High Vibrational Children and choose to focus on their strengths, talents and gifts. We also have learned to communicate on the boys’ level through non-verbal communication (gestures, eye contact, intuition, energy, etc). Janelle and I use Reiki to help our sons navigate this world and stay true to themselves in a society that can be negative, fearful and judgmental towards autistics.
Janelle and I both grew up on Maui and were childhood soccer rivals. We eventually played on the same Hawai’i ODP (Olympic Development Program) team together the summer going into our freshman year of high school. This was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. After we attended college on O’ahu, Janelle moved back to Maui and I eventually moved to Alameda, California. About a decade later, the universe reconnected us in 2017 in Northern California for the sake of support and healing.
