Reiki Ryōhō; a Japanese Healing Art/Method that originated with Founder, Usui Mikao Sensei in 1922, in Japan.
Ten years into my practice, after first learning Traditional (Western) Reiki in the Takata lineage, I met Inamoto Hyakuten Sensei in 2008 in Toronto, Canada. Hyakuten Sensei, a Buddhist monk from Kyoto, Japan is the Founder of Komyo ReikiDo™ (formerly Komyo Reiki Kai™). Komyo ReikiDo (‘the Way of Komyo Reiki’), is a ‘Keep it Simple’ Reiki Practice whose motto is – Place hands. Surrender. Smile.
After 5 Shinpiden (Teacher) workshops with Hyakuten Sensei and a visit in Kyoto in 2011, my Reiki classes shifted to the Komyo Reiki System. I appreciate his knowledge and historical information on Reiki Ryōhō, as well as Japanese history, language and culture. Hyakuten Sensei also validated information and answered my many questions. I continue to ‘sit’ his workshops whenever possible, and have attended his Shinpiden (Teacher) Training 12 times, ‘always learning.’ I resonate with the simplicity of Komyo ReikiDo™ practice, based in the Japanese aesthetic, ‘less is more.’
Dreamtime Wellness/Komyo ReikiDo™ Boston Reiki Trainings in Sedona are educational as well as a welcomed retreat. Students enjoy the peaceful setting with the opportunity for a week-long immersion in Reiki Ryōhō. Meditation and hiking in nature are incorporated, making it easy to connect with the ‘essence’ of reiki and higher consciousness, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Sedona.
We offer evidence-based, thorough, supportive training, including required ‘in-person’ Reiju (attunements), a standardized manual with information on Reiki Ryōhō history, techniques, uses, potential benefits, plus additional case study, research, ethics and boundaries, essentials for daily self-care, and hands-on practice. Each level/degree is taught separately, over two days. Then, in ‘apprentice-style’ with 6 – 12 months of self-study and supervised practice in between each level, allowing for a fuller understanding and integration of the skills at each level. Attendance at the 2-day Shoden/1st Degree Reiki is all you need to begin daily ‘self-reiki for self care.’ The additional self-study and supervised practicums build confidence, hone skills, and are required for your ‘Certificate of Completion’ at each level/degree, and to advance to the next level. Additional mentoring offered.
We offer Reiki Lectures, Sessions, and Trainings in IL, MA, VT, ME, AZ, and internationally ‘on-site.’ Contact us for more information:
