In the second episode of The Seeker, Sonnalli heads to the Om Reiki Family in Lohegaon to experience Reiki for the very first time. While Reiki is renowned as a Japanese Healing Technique, it has its roots in our Vedas as Sparsh Chikitsa. Sonnalli, a firm believer of holistic Indian healing practices takes two Reiki Sessions with Swami Omananad Bharati, a disciple of Osho and someone who believes that Reiki healing is just like a mother’s touch, all healing and all soothing.
In this episode we see what goes into a Reiki Session and how Gibberish Meditation, Chanting the 5 principles and decluttering one’s head from any thoughts whatsoever is needed for a Session to fully take its effect and help in healing. While there are a lot of misconceptions and preconceived notions attached to Reiki, we try to understand all about this ancient science and its benefits here
While it’s important to note that Reiki isn’t a cure-all, it does have it’s healing powers. Sonnalli is someone constantly on the pursuit of these alternative Healing Indian practices and in the forthcoming episodes, we will see her delve deeper into other holistic healing practices. The Seeker, in a way is the celebration of the treasure trove of holistic wellness that is India and also a testament to the seeker in Sonnalli, who’s on a mission to take Indian Wellness practices to the world.
