I love the flexibility of teaching Reiki from my home. It’s a little house so I use our kitchen/diner just as Mrs Takata did so many years ago. The only difference is we use a treatment couch rather than the kitchen table!
Reiki is supposed to be accessible to all and by keeping the training relaxed and informal (yet still professional), we can all enjoy it more.
I’m sharing a picture of Mrs Takata teaching Usui Reiki on the kitchen table of Wanja Twan, one of her 22 Masters. I have personally heard Wanja talk about the times that Mrs Takata came and taught Reiki at her home.
